Volunteer Leaders MARKETING Roundtable
If you are the current, rising, or past marketing leader in a professional, civic, fraternal or faith-based organization, and: You wonder how your peers market and raise funds for their organizations; You are willing to share your hard-won lessons learned; and/or You believe it's important to connect with others also trying to deliver effective volunteer leadership... Then come and meet, share and and learn with your peers at a brown-bag roundtable discussion on Marketing and Fundraising! This event is part of the PDC-HR quarterly "birds of a feather" series for members and invited guests to discuss common challenges and goals for a particular role within organizational leadership. No lectures, no homework— we'll collaboratively build an "Alegro Agenda" in the moment! These roundtables are held in the third month of each quarter, by invitation for members and prospective members. This is a no-host meeting, facilitated by a representative of the PDC-HR Board of Directors for the benefit of our membership. All you have to bring is your lunch! Thanks to our host Old Dominon University for providing the location! Old Dominion University, located in the coastal city of Norfolk, is Virginia's entrepreneurial-minded doctoral research university with more than 24,000 students, rigorous academics, an energetic residential community, and initiatives that contribute $2.6 billion annually to Virginia's economy. FAQs Hey, why is this so darn affordable? You're already volunteering your time and resources for our community! Can I get professional development credits for attending? You may be able to self-report educational or volunteer leadership credits in accordance with your organization's guidance. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? An email to firstname.lastname@example.org will get you a quick response! Who should attend? This roundtable is designed to help the specific leader roles of member-based organizations. You don't have to be in that role...yet. What the heck is an "Alegro Agenda"? The participants quickly brainstorm potential discussion topics, prioritize them, and then have a five minute discussion on the topics in rank order. If the group votes to continue a topic (majority thumbs up), we go another 5 minutes. Thumbs down—we move to the next topic. It's based on a software development management techique called "Lean Coffee". Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Not required...I'll check you in on-line upon arrival. Can I update my registration information? Yes indeed! Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Also yes indeed! Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? And again...yes indeed!
