Universal Suffrage -- the Women of Norfolk Who Fought for the Right to Vote

Tour Description: Join tour guide Shannon Stafford to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the women of Norfolk who dedicated their lives in order that all women in the United States could enjoy the right to vote.
Special instructions: The tour is limited to 25 participants and advanced sign-up is required. Reserve your space by making a $5 donation to the Norfolk Society for Cemetery Conservation using PayPal. A link will be available from August 15th through 28th at the organization’s website at www.nsccva.org. Donations are non-refundable and will be used to help preserve the city’s historic municipal cemeteries. Note that in accordance with COVID-19 safety guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice social distancing and to wear a mask. Note also that the bathrooms will not be open for this event. Please check the organization website on the day of the event in the case of cancelation because of inclement weather.
