Gem of the Ocean

Friday, April 3, 2020, 8:00 PM

In the Hill District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1904, Aunt Ester is a wise woman who gives asylum to the troubled members of her small community. When she welcomes Solly Two Kings, a former slave, and Citizen Barlow, a young man from Alabama looking for a fresh start and redemption, she helps guide them in healing. Meanwhile, unrest at the local mill ignites. Rich in historical elements, this drama explores redemption, freedom, and community throughout generations. "Gem of the Ocean" is a riveting, emotional look into the past.
