Beer Style Course VII: Strong Ale and Specialty Beer
Are you studying for the Cicerone beer server exam? Working your way toward Cicerone Level One? Certified Beer Judge? Do you just want to sound like you know what you’re talking about? This is the class for you! These are fast-paced blitzes through the BJCP, (Beer Judge Certification Program), style guidelines, used for both the BJCP exam and all Cicerone exams. We’ll start promptly at go-time, so get there early to grab your seat and set yourself up. We’ll highlight the distinctions between the styles, and we’ll taste at least five beers each session with a focus on the less accessible entries. Bring a copy of the BJCP style guidelines with you. They can be found here: Print them out or just keep them on your phone, nerd! https://www.bjcp.org/docs/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf In this session, we'll be looking at the following styles: Strong Ale17A.
